Membership Terms



  • Purpose and Conduct

    The Arab American Association of Engineers and Architects – Capital Area (AAAEA-Capital) is a professional, nonpolitical, and nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the careers and community engagement of Arab engineers, architects, and technology professionals. Members are expected to uphold the organization’s mission, values, and standards of professionalism in all AAAEA-related activities.

  • Eligibility

    • Student Members must be enrolled in an accredited program in engineering, architecture, computer science, or information technology.

    • Professional Members must be graduates or practicing professionals in a related technical field.

    • Corporate Members must represent a company or firm that supports the mission of AAAEA-Capital and operates ethically within its industry.

  • Geographic Scope

    AAAEA-Capital serves the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region. Members must reside, study, or operate within the Capital Area, or otherwise maintain a verifiable connection to it.

  • Code of Ethics and Representation

    Members must conduct themselves with integrity, respect, and professionalism. The AAAEA name, logo, or affiliation may not be used for personal, political, or commercial gain without written board approval.

  • Membership Fees and Renewals

    • Membership fees are valid for one full year from the date of enrollment, regardless of when payment is made.

    • A 30-day grace period is granted for renewal after the membership expiration date.

    • Annual dues are nonrefundable.

  • Privacy and Communication

    Member data will be used only for official AAAEA purposes such as newsletters, events, and organizational communication. AAAEA-Capital will not share or sell member information to third parties.
